Choosing bathroom furniture

Bathroom furniture does two jobs: it holds your basin and it keeps the room tidy. The right choice depends on the space, your storage needs and the look you want.

Wall hung or floor standing?

Wall hung units leave the floor visible, which makes a room feel larger and easier to clean. Floor standing units are often simpler to fit, and many offer extra storage with a traditional look.

Vanity units

Units come in widths from compact cloakroom sizes to wide double-basin designs. Choose between drawers for easy access, doors for tall items, or a mix of both, and check the basin type and tap hole arrangement.

Compact and small-space units

If your bathroom is small, a compact unit such as the Tranquil Compact Bathroom Unit or Tempt Compact Bathroom Unit can help. Get more ideas in our small bathroom ideas.

Tall storage and back to wall units

Tall boys and slim storage units add space without taking up much floor. Back to wall units conceal the cistern and pipework for a tidy, built-in look.

Match your mirror, taps and accessories

Finish the look with a mirror, taps and matching handles. Our LED mirror guide shows what to look for.

Bathroom furniture FAQs

What size vanity unit do I need?

Choose the largest unit that fits comfortably while leaving room to move and open doors. For a standard bathroom, 600 to 800 mm is common, while 1000 to 1200 mm suits larger rooms or double basins.

Is wall hung furniture strong enough?

Yes, when fixed to a suitable wall with the right fixings. Ask your installer to check your wall before you buy.

Do vanity units come with a basin?

Many do, but not all. Check the product details to see whether the basin, top and fittings are included.

Can I see the furniture before I buy?

Yes. Visit our showroom in Mullingar to see finishes and sizes in person, or book an appointment so our team can help you.
