Choosing a bathroom radiator

Heated towel rails and radiators

A heated towel rail does two jobs: it warms the room and dries your towels. In smaller rooms, a tall, narrow design uses vertical space and frees up wall width. See our small bathroom ideas for more.

Aluminium radiators

Aluminium radiators are lightweight, heat up quickly and have a slim, contemporary profile. Our Phoenix collection includes the Vega and Eon designs.

Size and heat output

Choose a radiator with enough heat output for the size of the room, taking into account windows, wall construction and how you heat your home. Your heating installer can calculate this for you, so share the room dimensions before you order.

Where to put it

Consider where the pipework runs, where towels will hang, and how close the radiator is to the shower or bath. Match the finish to your taps and accessories for a consistent look.

Bathroom radiator FAQs

What size radiator do I need for my bathroom?

It depends on the room size, insulation and how it is heated. Your heating installer can work out the heat output needed from the room dimensions.

Is a towel rail better than a radiator?

A towel rail warms the room and dries towels, so it is a good fit for most bathrooms. A standard radiator may suit if you do not need to dry towels there.

Are aluminium radiators any good?

Yes. Aluminium conducts heat well, so these radiators warm up quickly and are lighter than many steel designs.
